Senior Championship – Aughawillan v Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins, Saturday 25th July at 7pm in Ballinamore. We wish the team; manager, Martin Greene and selectors: Gerry Flanagan & Seamus Quinn the very best of luck in the Championship ahead! Our opening game of the Connacht Gold Senior Football Championship 2020 has finally come around, albeit in different circumstances than what we are used to. With a limit of 200 at outdoor events for the coming weeks, all Senior Club games must be ticketed. This means the club only have a limited number of tickets for each game. We ask that any Aughawillan supporters who are interested in attending the game to email firstname.lastname@example.org, or text Pat Joe on 0862671859 or Damien on 0872403405 to register their interest in tickets. Please let us know the total number of tickets you would need, children included! Please note, that this isn’t a guarantee of tickets and we will be back in touch with all supporters later in the week. There will be regular updates on our Twitter page @AughawillanGAA for anyone who can’t attend the game.
Junior A Championship – Our Juniors also play Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins on Sunday 26th July at 1.30pm in Ballinamore. We wish the team, Damien Gilheany, Frank Smith & Charlie Kelly the very best of luck in the season ahead. Information on tickets will be available later in the week for our Junior game.
St Brigid’s LGFA – Aughawillan GAA wish St Brigids Ladies & their manager, Alan Halstead, the very best of luck in their first competitive game at Senior level & the best of luck in the coming Championship. The ladies play Sean O’Heslins in Ballinamore on Sunday 26th July at 11am. You will not need a ticket to attend this game.
Under 17 Championship – Hard luck to St Brigids who were defeated by Fenagh/St Caillins on Monday. Final Score: St Brigids 10 points, Fenagh 2-10. Their next game is against Annaduff in Annaduff on Monday 27th July at 7pm. Under 15 Championship – Well done to St Brigids who won their opening Championship game last Friday against Fenagh/St Caillins. Final Score: St Brigids 2-10, Fenagh/St Caillins 2-7. Their next game is on Friday 31st July against St Josephs and will be played in Drumreilly at 7pm. Under 13 Championship – Hard luck to St Brigids who were defeated by MacDiarmada Gaels on Monday. Final Score: St Brgids 1-11, MacDiarmada 4-6. They now play Glencar/Manorhamilton on Friday 24th July at 7pm in Manorhamilton.

Leitrim Supporters Club Draw – The draw will now take place on August 1st in Cox’s Steakhouse, after initially being postponed earlier this year. There are still tickets available from members of the club executive and online from the Leitrim GAA website.
COVID-19 – While the pitch and walking track are open, members are reminded that the gym, clubrooms and dressings rooms are closed until further notice. There is hand sanitiser provided at the turnstiles and anyone using the facilities is asked to please use this when entering.
Comhbhrón – Aughawillan GAA wish to extend their deepest sympathies to the Hewson familty on the recent passing of Elizabeth Hewson. Aughawillan GAA also wish to extend their sympathies to the family & friends of the late Adrian McGirl, Aughnasheelin and the late Sean McCartin, Ballinamore.
