Senior Championship – It wasn’t the start to the 2020 Championship we had hoped for, with our Senior team being defeated in their opening round game against Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins on Saturday last. Final Score: Aughawillan 7 points, Ballinamore SOH 10 points. This game was the first to be streamed Live on Leitrim GAA’s YouTube channel, giving everyone the opportunity to join in on the action in real-time! Our second game is at home to St Marys Kiltoghert on Saturday 1st August at 7pm. Tickets will be required for this game and we ask anyone wishing to attend this game this weekend to register their interest before 8pm on Thursday 30th July by either: Email: aughawillangaatickets@gmail.com; Text: Pat Joe on 0862671859 or Damien on 0872403405. Juniors (u16s) will also require a ticket for entry & all tickets are priced at €10, so please let us know if you would like to bring juniors too! Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of tickets and we will be back in touch with everyone who has put their name down over the coming days.Thank you for your understanding & cooperation. There will also be regular updates on our Twitter page @Aughawillan GAA for anyone who can’t attend. Best of luck to all next Saturday!

Junior A Championship – Our Junior team were also defeated by Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins on Sunday & now play Aughavas at home on Sunday 2nd August at 1.30pm. You won’t need a ticket to attend this game so all support would be much appreciated.

St Brigid’s LGFA – St Brigids Ladies had their first Championship game under the new amalgamation last weekend. Although the game didn’t go their way, with many young players, there is a lot of excitement for the future. They now play St Francis on Sunday 2nd August at 11am in Aughawillan. Please support – no ticket needed!

Under 17 Championship – They now play Leitrim Gaels on Monday 3rd August at 7pm in Leitrim Village. Under 15 Championship – Best of luck to the u15s who play St Josephs on Friday 31st July at 7pm in Drumreilly. Under 13 Championship – Hard luck to the u13s who were defeated by Glencar/Manorhamilton last Friday. Their next game is against Annaduff on 7th August.

Go raibh maith agat – Aughawillan GAA would like to thank Pat Randles, Kevin Torsley and Kevin McTague of Lagan Barrier Solutions for supplying and erecting of new barrier along the entrance road to clubrooms at no charge to the club. The club greatly appreciate this very generous gesture. Also a big thank you to Ciaran McTague of QMT for all his help and advice on the project.
