Spring League – We wish the Aughawillan Senior team and management the very best of luck in the upcoming 2024 season. It all kicks off this weekend with the Spring League, and their first match against Annaduff this Saturday 23rd March in Aughawillan at 5.30pm. Members of the club will be taking registration for the club from 5pm. Come along and show your support for an exciting year ahead!
Allianz League – Well done to the Leitrim men’s senior team who had a brilliant win against Laois at the weekend. Final score – Leitrim 0:17 Laois 1:13. They now play Tipperary in their final round fixture, this Sunday, 24th March at 1pm, in Páirc Seán. Best of luck to Mark, Pearce and all the team.
Leitrim Ladies – The Leitrim ladies continue their campaign for promotion as they play Limerick this Sunday 24th March in the Division 4 Semi Final. Throw in at 1pm in Padraig Pearses GAA grounds, Co. Roscommon. The very best of luck girls!
U20 League – Best of luck to Tom Plunkett and the entire Under20 Leitrim Team ahead of the first round of the Connacht Football Championship. Leitrim play Galway in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe on Wednesday 20th March at 7pm.
Registration Evening – A registration evening will be held ahead of the first spring league game this Saturday 23rd March from 5pm at the clubrooms. Membership allows for full use of the gym and club. Alternatively, membership can be paid online at foireann.ie. It’s important that both underage & adult players are registered to play. You must be a club member to use the clubroom, walking track, gym and other facilities at the pitch. Membership prices: Adult player €50, Adult non-player €25, Junior player/member of St Brigids €10.
Poker Classic – Aughawillan GAA will be holding a Poker Classic on Good Friday, 29th March in The Ballymac Inn starting at 9pm. Entry €20, rebuys €5, 50/50 payout. Spot prizes and refreshments served, all welcome! Please spread the word and show your support for this annual fundraiser for the club!
Quid Games – Mark Plunkett is representing Aughawillan GAA in Kiltubrid GAA’s fundraiser ‘Quid Games’, in the hope of winning some funds for the club. Ádh mór Mark!
Leitrim Ploughing Match 2024 – All roads lead to Garadice on Easter Saturday, March 30th where Micheál Flanagan’s farm will host the annual event. A firm favourite on the farming calendar. As well as the ploughing competitions themselves, with all classes covered, there will be lots of trade stands, a dog show with 10 classes, face painting, bouncy castles and free entertainment for kids. A festival day with something for everyone, young and old to enjoy.
