Aughawillan manager Sean Pierson is confident that his side can stun holders St Mary’s, Kiltoghert in Sunday’s Leitrim SFC final.
The Cavan man admits that the Mary’s are the benchmark but believes every game is there to be won:
“Am I confident going into it? I’m confident going into every game,” he states in The Leitrim Observer.
“I’m a very positive falla. Sometimes people tell me I’m too positive but a final is a final, it takes a mind of its own.
“It is winner-takes-all. When you get to it, the pressure dies down a bit because it boils down to a performance of 60 minutes and it is the performance at the end of the day.
“The score is the only statistic that will matter and hopefully we’ll be the right side of it.”
