Club Notes – 26/09/2022

Junior A Championship – Hard luck to the Junior team who were defeated by Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher last weekend in the final group game.

St Brigids LGFA – Hard luck to St Brigids LGFA who were defeated by St Marys, 1-8 to 0-6, last weekend. They have still qualified for the semi-final in which they play Mohill on Saturday October at 4pm in Kiltubrid.

Underage – Wishing St Brigids u17s the best of luck against St Josephs in the Division 2 Championship Semi-Final on Sunday 2nd October at 4pm in Drumreilly. Best of luck to St Brigids u13s who play Drumkeeran on Thursday 29th September at 6.15 in Aughnasheelin.

All-Ireland Champions – Well done to the Ballinamore Area u10 Community Games team who won the All-Ireland, after defeating Malahide in the semi-final and Monaghan Town in the final. Aughawillan is well represented by Hugh McCauley, Harry Gaffney, Daniel & Matthew Prior & Peter Prior on the Management team. A full match review and pictures can be viewed on our Facebook page.

Club Meeting – There will be a club meeting this Sunday (2nd Oct.) in the clubrooms at 6:00. Everyone is welcome to come along and contribute their ideas for Aughawillan GAA going forward.

50th Anniversary Book – Our 50th Anniversary book ‘Aughawillan GAA – Celebrating 50 years,’ is now available to purchase in Murphy’s, Maxwell’s XL & Supervalu, Ballinamore.
