Senior Championship – Aughawillan’s second Championship game was postponed from Saturday evening due to a waterlogged pitch following heavy rain earlier that day. St Marys made the journey down again on Bank Holiday Monday & came away victorious after an intense & exciting game which produced 6 goals! Final Score: Aughawillan 3-7, St Marys 3-10. Thank you to Devin & Rasha for the live stream on Facebook, allowing all supporters to watch the action from near or far! Thank you also to Paul Gaffney for doing the scoreboard, Paul Bohan for having the grounds in top condition, Jerome & Aisling on the gate, PatJoe, Damien & Niamh organizing the tickets & all those who parked cars on Saturday night in the rain & again on Monday!  Our next game is on Saturday 8th August against Fenagh/St Caillins in Fenagh at 7pm. Tickets will be required for this game & we ask that any Aughawillan supporters who are interested in attending the game this to register their interest & number of tickets required before 8pm Thursday 6th August by either: email: or t ext: Pat Joe on 0862678159 or Damien on 0872403405. Juniors (u16s) will also require a tickets for entry & all tickets are priced at €10. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of tickets as we expect there will be a lot of interest in this game & there is a limited number of tickets available.  Thank you for your understanding & co-operation! There will be regular updates on our Twitter page for those who can’t make it!  

Junior A Championship – Our Junior game against Aughavas was cancelled on Sunday morning after we conceded the game. There is no Junior game for the next two weekends, the next game is on 22nd August against Annaduff.  

St Brigid’s LGFA – St Brigids Ladies’ game was moved to Drumshanbo from Aughawillan on Sunday morning. The performance was much improved from the first day out with plenty of more young players getting a run out at Senior level! Final score – St Brigids 0-3 (Síomha Quinn 2f, Jacinta Maguire 1) St Francis 1-13. The next game is against St Josephs on Sunday 9th August at 11am in Aughawillan. Please support – no ticket needed!  

Under 17 Championship –  Hard luck to St Brigids who were defeated by Leitrim Gaels earlier this week.They now play St Josephs on Monday 10th August at 7pm in Aughnasheelin.   Under 15 Championship – Hard luck to the u15s who were defeated by St Josephs last Friday night. Next up is Rinn Gaels on Friday 14th August.  

Under 13 Championship – Best of luck to St Brigids who play Annaduff on Friday 7th August at 7pm in Aughawillan.  

Comhghairdeas – Congrats to Sean Flanagan who won the top prize of €5000 in the Leitrim Supporters Draw last Saturday!   

COVID-19 – While the pitch and walking track are open, with a one way system in place, members are reminded that the gym, clubrooms and dressings rooms are closed until further notice. There is hand sanitiser provided at the turnstiles and anyone using the facilities is asked to please use this when entering.
