Junior League – Hard luck to the Junior team who were narrowly defeated by Kiltubrid last weekend. Score: Aughawillan 16 points, Kiltubrid 3-8. There is still one League match left to be played against St Mary’s, fixture TBC.

Underage – Well done to the u12s who defeated St Patrick’s Óg & Melvin Gaels in the Cross Border Competition. Score: St Brigid’s 27 points, St Patrick’s Og 12 points; St Brigid’s 26 points Melvon Gaels 4 points They next play St Francis in Paric na nGael at 7.30pm on Thursday 20th June.
Best of luck to the U11s who take part in the John McGovern Memorial Tournament on Saturday 22nd June in Swanlinbar beginning at 10am.

Ladies – Best of luck to the Junior ladies’ team play Annaduff this weekend. Fixture TBC.

Senior Championship Qualifiers – Best of luck to Pearce, Fergal, Sean, Mark, Gary & Noel & all the Leitrim team this Saturday as they play Clare in the second round of the Qualifiers. The game is at 6pm in Pairc Séan.
Best of luck to Leitrim hurlers who are in the Lory Meagher Final on Saturday at 12pm in Croke Park.

Féile Peile – Connacht GAA is hosting Féile 2019 from 28th-30th June with clubs throughout the province getting to host a club from around Ireland or further afield. St Brigid’s have the pleasure of welcoming Western Australia! Our group games will start on 28th in Kilmore, playing Bective/Cannistown from Meath at 4.45pm & Oran from Roscommon at 6.15pm. Both these games will be held in Kilmore. On Saturday 29th we will play Western Australia at 10.45am in Aughnasheelin with Quarter Finals taking place later that afternoon.

Sponsored Cycle – The day of the cycle is nearly upon us! The 30km route will start & finish at the Aughawillan clubrooms on Sunday 23rd June. The cycle will begin at 6pm and we hope that as many people as possible will be there to wave them off and/or welcome them back from their journey! The cyclists will cycle 30km through the local area, before arriving back to the clubrooms. There will be refreshments for all afterwards, all cakes, buns & sandwiches are welcome! The cycle is open for all to enter – let a member of the executive know if you are interested in taking part!
Sponsorship cards are available from any member of the club executive, if you wish to donate or even collect some money! There will be a raffle with the names of everyone who has donated with 3 prizes to be won – 1st €100, 2nd €50, 3rd €25.
A massive thank you to all the volunteers who gave up some of their time on Friday & Saturday to fundraise ahead of the cycle. Thank you to Supervalu & Tesco Ballinamore who facilitated our collection. A special thank you to everyone who contributed so far.

Bonfire night is always a fun tradition to remember our past, pray for the year ahead & bond with our community with live music, scéal & craic. Musicians please bring your instruments, songbirds your voices & dancers your shoes. A family event not to be missed! Everyone welcome!

Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see you, everyone welcome.
