Club Notes – 05/11/2018

Senior Championship – Aughawillan v Ballintubber, Sunday 11th November at 1.30pm in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.
All roads lead back to Pairc Sean this Sunday for the Connacht Semi-Final against Mayo champions Ballintubber, who defeated Tourlestrane last week by 1 point. We wish all the players, management and backroom team the very best of luck and hope that as many people as possible are able to come to game and support the lads! For anyone who can’t make it, there will be updates on Aughawillan GAA Twitter and Facebook pages.

Junior Championship – The Junior team face Fenagh/St Caillin’s in the Junior B Championship Final. The venue and date are TBC, but it is likely to be played in the coming weeks.

New Arrival – Congratulations to Laura Creamer and Séadhna Logan on the birth of their first child, Ríona.

Comhbhrón – Aughawillan GAA would like to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Tessie Fox (nee Stretton), the late Charlie McCartin & the late Ursula Doran O’Reilly. Ar dheis De go raibh ar na n-anamacha.

Club Lotto – Results for draw held on October 31st. Numbers drawn: 3, 12, 17, 19. No jackpot winners, €20 winners: 1. Shauna Plunkett, Stroke, 2. Damien Gilheany, CLogher, 3. Bethany Hewson, Corgar, 4. Terry Moohan, Drumcoura, 5. Niamh McNiffe, Drumgowna, 6. Angela McManus, Fenagh, 7. Bridan Mitchell, Ardunsaghan. Next draw will take place on Wednesday 14th November in Reynolds’, Ballinamore. Jackpot: €3,800. Tickets for the fortnightly lotto are now available online – link on Facebook page – Aughawillan GAA.
Annual Tickets are also now due for renewal – if you’d like to renew your annual lotto or to purchase an annual ticket, contact Jerome Quinn. The cost is €50.

Annual €20 Christmas Draw – With Christmas fast approaching, the €20 tickets will be on sale very shortly. If you’re interested in buying (or selling!) tickets, please contact a member of the club’s executive.

Help build the “Leitrim Wall” – This fundraising initiative by Leitrim GAA seeks to complete a wall of messages and support visible from the N4 at the Centre of Excellence in Annaduff. There are options from €250 up to €3,000 which allow you to purchase a brick or stone in the wall with a personal message which can been seen and inspire future generations of Leitrim footballers. The funds raised will go to the completion of the Centre of Excellence. If you are interested in this initiative, please contact: secretary.aughawillan.leitrim@gaa.ie.

Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see everyone.
