Club Notes – 29/10/2018

Senior League – Well done to the Senior team who defeated Aughnasheelin last Saturday to retain Division 1 status for 2019. Score: Aughawillan 2-19 Aughnasheelin 1-7. All attention is now turned to the Connacht Club Semi-Final on November 11th against either Ballintubber (Mayo) or Tourlestrane (Sligo). The game is being played in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada at 2pm.

Underage – Congratulations to St Brigid’s u15 team who defeated Dromahair in the Shield Final on Bank Holiday Monday. Score: St Brigid’s: 3-17 Dromahair: 6-4. Well done to all the players and management on a successful year, especially Oran Flanagan, Oisin Conefrey, Patrick McGovern, Andrew McNiffe, Zack Dolan and Tom Plunkett who represented Aughawillan.

Junior Championship – With one County Final under our belt, there’s still another to go! The Junior team face Fenagh/St Caillin’s in the Junior B Championship Final. The venue and date are TBC.

Comhbhrón – Aughawillan GAA would like to express their deepest sympathies to Patsy, Peter, Patrick & Regina Prior as well as brothers, sister, grandchildren, relatives & friends of the late Eileen Prior. Ar dheis de go raibh a h-anam.

Club Lotto – Next draw will take place on Wednesday 31st October in Jackies’ Bar, Ballinamore. Jackpot: €3,700. Tickets for the fortnightly lotto are now available online – link on Facebook page – Aughawillan GAA.
Annual Tickets are also now due for renewal – if you’d like to renew your annual lotto or to purchase an annual ticket, contact Jerome Quinn. The cost is €50.

Annual €20 Christmas Draw – With Christmas fast approaching, the €20 tickets will be on sale very shortly. If you’re interested in buying (or selling!) tickets, please contact a member of the club’s executive.

Help build the “Leitrim Wall” – This fundraising initiative by Leitrim GAA seeks to complete a wall of messages and support visible from the N4 at the Centre of Excellence in Annaduff. There are options from €250 up to €3,000 which allow you to purchase a brick or stone in the wall with a personal message which an been seen and inspire future generations of Leitrim footballers. The funds raised will go to the completion of the centre of excellence. If you are interested in this initiative, please contact:

Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see everyone.
