Aughawillan GAA Notes 16th May 2017
Junior Team: Our Junior team take on Aughavas this Saturday evening at 7pm in Aughawillan. All support welcome.
Underage Teams: U13: Our U13 team are down to play St. Joseph’s away next Friday evening at 7pm. Venue yet to be decided.
U15: Our U15 team continue their league campaign against Drumkeeran in Drumkeeran this Tuesday evening at 7pm
10km/5km Run: Aughawillan GAA are holding a 10km/5km Run /Jog / Walk on Saturday 20th May at 12 noon. Registration at the club rooms from 11am to 11.45am. This will be a timed event. Changing facilities, showers and refreshments will be provided on the day. Entry fee: Adult €10, Student/U16 €5, Family (2 adults, 2 children) €20. Everybody is welcome to what will be a very enjoyable day.
Table Quiz: Big thank you to everybody who came out and supported our table quiz in the Viking last Friday night. Cuilcagh Mountain Challenge 2017: This year’s Cuilcagh Mountain Climb will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 5th June, from the Blackrock’s, Glangevlin. All newcomers are welcome and the walkers will be ably led by a number of very experienced climbers. Sponsorship Cards are being distributed this week and all walkers and family groups are encouraged to have at least one sponsorship card completed on or before the day of the climb(10 lines per card). There will be a draw for a prize of €100 for all climbers registered on the day. County: Hard luck to Morgan and the Leitrim Hurling team who were defeated by Warwickshire last Saturday. Final Score 2-16 to 1-11. They now take on Sligo this Saturday at 3pm in Pairc Sean.
Good luck to Noel, Gary and the Leitrim Junior team who take on Mayo this Wednesday at 7pm in Charlestown in the Connaught Junior Final.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot held in Drumcoura on 3rd May 2017. Numbers drawn 3, 23, 12 & 4.
