Aughawillan GAA Notes 27th March 2017
Junior Team: Hard luck to the Junior team who were defeated by Mohill last Sunday morning. Final Score 2-10 to 0-9.
Underage Teams: U13: Our U13 team continue their league campaign this Saturday with a home game against Allen Gaels at 12pm.
U15: Our U15 team had one win and one loss last week in the league. They defeated Annaduff last Saturday 4-6 to 2-6 and were defeated by Dromahair 5-10 to 4-4.
U17: Our U17 team resume their league campaign this Wednesday at 6.30pm, when they take on Fenagh in Fenagh.
Poker Classic: Aughawillan GAA are holding their traditional Good Friday Poker Classic in Aughawillan Community Centre on Friday April 14th at 9.30pm. Come along to what is always a very enjoyable night. Entry €20. 50/50 cash prizes.

Please note that membership of the club allows you full use of our gym and club room facilities and safeguards you are insured on the grounds. Adults €25.00 and Underage €10.00.
Aughawillan / Drumreilly GAA Lotto: The club lotto draw was held in The Viking on Wednesday 22nd March. No Jackpot winner. Winners: Patrick Smyth, Thomas Kelly, Church St, Ballinamore, Jim McManus, Owengallis, Myrtle Neill, 4 Dooncourt Ballyconnell, Sheila Drum, Carrigallen, Monica Teslova, Newtowngore, Carol Deane, C/O Viking Bar. Next draw will be held in Gorby’s Newtowngore on Wednesday 5th April. Jackpot €3500.
Charity Fundraiser: On Saturday night in the Poor Scholar, Ballinamore there is a massive fundraiser for cancer when bald becomes beautiful. As you already know due to Dawn Mckeon’s recent diagnosis she is shaving her head and her dad Sean is shaving his beard after 47 years! But it doesn’t stop there!!! In support of their sister and to up the stakes in this fundraising event the other 3 dolls are jumping on the band wagon, Edel will shave her head and Zoe and Alma are going short! Also any hair that can be donated will be! So please help this whole family smash their target for this very worthy cause. Donation cards are in all shops and pubs in Ballinamore or donations can be made on gofundme.ie

County Teams: Well done to Barry, Noel, Gary, Mark, Pearce and the Leitrim senior team who defeated London 2-16 to 0-15 last Sunday in the latest round of the Alliance Football League. Best of luck this Saturday in the final round of the League when they take on Waterford at 4.30pm in Pairc Sean.
Hard luck to Niall and the county minor team who were narrowly defeated by Sligo in the third round of the league last Saturday, final score 2-11 to 1-11. They now take on Longford this Saturday at 5.30pm in Newtownforbes.
Well done to Morgan and the county hurlers who defeated Fermanagh last Sunday in Brewster Park. Final Score 4-11 to 1-14.
