Aughawillan GAA Notes 16/05/2016
U16 League Final: It was fantastic to see so many Aughawillan supporters in attendance in Cloone last Thursday at the U16 League Final. Unfortunately the St. Brigid’s team got off to a bad start in the first half, but were resilient until the final whistle blew. The score line was brought down to just three points on a number of occasions but ultimately a win was out of reach, the lads showed some solid football skills throughout the game and are sure to have a bright future. Final score: Fenagh 3-12 to St. Brigids 1-12.
U14: St. Brigids U14 played Annaduff on Friday evening. Although a win was not in our favour the lads put on a fine show, and showed great spirit. Final score was St. Brigid’s 3-04 to Annaduff 5-07. The team have a bye this weekend. Please encourage all eligible players out to train and play.
Ádh Mór: Good luck to Barry Prior, Ciaran Gilheany and the Leitrim team who play Roscommon this coming Sunday in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada in the Connacht Championship.
Senior/ Junior Training: Training is going well with large numbers now finishing summer exams, we encourage all at Junior and Senior level to join in, get out, get fit, as the weather is good, the pitch is in good shape, and football season is well under way.
