Our annual Poker Classic takes place in Aughawillan Community Hall on Good Friday at 10:00. €1000 in prizes. Come along for what is always an enjoyable night.
Well done to our Junior team who won their second game on the bounce, beating Mohill 4-16 to 1-6 at home on Sunday afternoon. There was a good turnout, with even a few subs getting a run out, but as the game was played at 13-a-side, all those players and more are needed for the game away to Ballinamore next weekend. The game is currently fixed for 5:00 in Ballinamore on Saturday.
Our u16 team also had a great win on Saturday over Allen Gaels. The final score was 7-11 to 4-6. This made it two wins from two for the lads – keep it up! The next game for the u16s is also against Ballinamore, the fixture is to be confirmed.
u12 Blitzes start on Friday, 25th March and will run for 5 weeks.
Hard luck to the county u21 and hurling teams who lost out to Mayo and Fermanagh.
St. Brigid’s G.A.A. Fundraiser:
St. Brigid’s had a table quiz last Saturday night, with a great turnout. The result was very tight, with a tie-breaker needed to separate the winners and runners-up! Thanks to all who attended and those who sponsored prizes on the night. All proceeds go towards jerseys for the club.
Club membership fees are due – €25 for adults, €10 for minors. Please contact Mickey Flanagan or Ciaran Gilheany (registrars) if you haven’t already renewed for 2016.
