Christmas Draw: Tickets are now on sale for our annual Christmas Draw. €8,000 in prizes to give away and a first prize of €5,000, this is one of the best local Christmas draws around. Please support the draw by buying a ticket for €20 or three for €50. The draw will take place in the Viking Lounge on Saturday, January 9th 2016.

Aughawillan Club Christmas Celebration: On Sunday 27 December 2015, there was a charity football match in aid of St. Ciaran’s Services, Carrick-on-Shannon for adults and children with special needs. This was hugely supported event in the area and our thanks to all who turned out on the day to play, spectate and special thanks to Mickey Flanagan for refereeing the game. That night we were treated to live entertainment in Jackie’s Bar, Ballinamore, many thanks to Kathryn for the hospitality and delicious food. The raffle was well sponsored locally and we thank the many businesses involved. First prize Lunch in Nevin Maguire’s went to Morgan Quinn,Aughawillan, Dinner for two in the Slieve Russell went to Vinny Mc Brien, Aughavas, Bottle of Vodka sponsored by Jackie’s Bar went to Mary Mc Girl, Ballinamore, Cara Pharmacy Hamper was won by Sean Quinn, Aughawillan, Supervalu Voucher was won by Charlie Mc Tague, Corraleehan, gift from Mc Devitts Pharmacy was won by Derbhile Convey, Ballinaglera and voucher for Four Seasons, Ballinamore was won by Kathleen Mc Tague. In total over €1,300 was raised for St. Ciaran’s Services, Carrick-on-Shannon, this event is to the credit of club members and supporters. As a club Aughawillan wish to support local service’s in the same way as our club is so well supported, and we will be delighted to make the presentation to St. Ciaran’s Services, Carrick on Shannon in the coming weeks.
Registration: If you wish to become a member of the club, please contact Michael Flanagan, Ciaran Gilheany or Damien Gilheany. Adult membership €25 and Junior Membership €10. Please note that membership of the club allows you full use of our gym and club room facilities and ensures you are insured on the grounds. Please note membership should be paid as soon as possible.
Club Commitment: A commitment was reached at the last executive meeting that all club members will receive up to date messaging on all club games. Please ensure that you have updated your phone number when paying your registration fee this year.
Aughawillan Poker Classic: The Poker Classic was held in The Ballymac Inn on Saturday 2nd January 2016. Many thanks to Shane Maguire, the ladies who provided refreshments, and aid on the night and Pat Flanagan for getting the ball rolling. Congratulations to the winners in order; Martin Flanagan, Pat Stringer, Maura Sweeney, Pat Joe Mc Niffe and James Murphy. Many thanks also to Timmy Winters for his excellent stewardship, although a Cork man living in Ballinamore, it is reported that he is looking for Aughawillan citizenship, and we will surely take it under advisement.
Fáilte abhaile: Welcome home to Gerard and Caora Mc Govern, Corraleehan who returned to Ireland for the festive season with their son Liam.
