Club Notes – 14/01/2015

Aughawillan GAA Dinner Dance: 2014 was a year of success for Aughawillan GAA and to celebrate we have our Dinner Dance on the 7th of February in the Slieve Russell. This will be an exhillerating, stirring, rousing affair with special guests on the night and more.. Music will be by The Prenups. There will also be a presentation on the night to the 1989 Senior Champions who have just realised their 25th Anniversary. Dont be the last to get on board, get your tickets now from Aisling Maguire, Jerome Quinn, Gerard Mc Govern, Paul Bohan and Tracy Mc Tague. Tickets are €30.00. If anyone is interested in being chauffer driven on the night, please mention to the names above so a limo / bus can be arranged.

Aughawillan Underage AGM: With the youth the future of our club and area, it is important that all interested parties attend the underage meeting in the clubrooms this saturday the 17th at 5pm. Mentors, parents and all interested in the training, policys and focus of our underage should attend. All welcome.

Fitness Walk: Perhaps you are trying to fit in to that dress for the dinner dance or maybe that cumberband is too tight after the turkey or maybe you just want to get some exercise and catch up on the latest with your neighbours, what ever the reason, don’t be shy! Corraleehan walks have recommenced, Thursday evenings from the church at 8.30. All welcome.

Go Raibh Maith Agat: Many thanks to Shane Maguire of The Ballymac Inn for his recent contribution. Your support of Aughawillan GAA is much appreciated.

Registration: Please note that Club membership is now due for the coming year and all new members are welcome, monies should be paid to Michael Flanagan, Ciaran Gilheany, Damien Gilheany or Paul Bohan. Adult membership €20 and Junior Membership €5.

Aughawillan / Drumreilly GAA Lotto:
Next draw to be held in Reynolds Bar, Ballinamore on Wednesday 14 January, 2015. Jackpot €3,500. Thank you to all that support club lotto.

Comhghairdeas: Aughawillan GAA wish to congratulate Nigel Flanagan and Yvonne Mc Cawley on their recent nuptials and wish them many years of health and happiness together.

Sympathy: Aughawillan GAA wish to sympathise with Mrs Mary Mc Caffrey, Stradermot, Ballinamore and the family of Patrick Meenan, Inbharrmarra, Bundoran, Donegal and formerly of Derrada, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim who passed away in his ninety first year and was buried in St Patrick’s Church, Coraleehan. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Condolances: Aughawillan GAA wish to sympathise with the family of Patrick (Paddy) Dolan, Lisroughty, Garadice, Ballinamore, Leitrim. Paddy was one of the oldest residents of the area and will be missed as an extremely knowledgeable man with a great memory from the olden days, his attentive care of the church grounds for so many years was always appreciated by those attending the area and those within the community. As one of the old timers, a true gentleman, it is a loss to the whole community when such a man passes away. Condolances are bestowed upon his daughter Mary, son-in-law Pat, grandchildren Sorcha, Aoibhín and Órán, brothers John (Moyne) and Fr. Peter (Florida), nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
